The Klim Kodiak is a premium textile touring suit with a premium price, so does it’s performance match up? It’s a Goretex Pro 3 layer suit, which promises to be the most waterproof, windproof, and breathable material on the market. You’ll also find Armacor, D30 armour, 3m Scotchlite, Cordura and a host of exotic materials in the Kodiak. It’s designed with a slimmer ‘touring’ cut and is for use all year round. There are a massive 10 ventilation zips on the jacket alone and I think it’s the best vented waterproof jacket I’ve ever tried. 25 degrees c? no problem and layer up underneath and sub-zero riding can be comfortable as well. It shrugs off torrential rain too. So how exactly did it perform over one year of use here in the UK?
